Saturday again
Most sculpture never does much for me but this one does. La Pieta means the pity and there are many versions of this. This one lies to the right of the main door of St Peter's Basilica in Rome and shows Mary holding the broken body of her son in her arms. Michelangelo did this and I just think it is simply beautiful. Hope you do too.
