You get many books these days telling you of things you must see or do before you die. I find it faintly tautological cus you ain't going to see or do those things after you die. Worse still, who the bloody hell are they to tell me what I must see and do?
I also think the whole thing smacks of threat like those emails which say 'God's gonna bust yer ass if you don't forward this to 10 others in 15 minutes.' There are many things that I would wish to see or do before I die and I don't need any telling.
Why don't these people use the old fashioned word 'recommend'?
