230. At the checkout, they always dump the receipt, the coins and the notes (of your change) in your hand all in one go. Why? I have separate places for each and so have most other people so why not give me the stuff one at a time.

After all, each item comes out one at a time.

And then while we are on the checkout subject, why do so many women look surprised when asked for the money? Moi? You expect me to pay? This is then followed by the time-honoured ritual of rummaging around in a sack to find the money. And that's if you are lucky. So many of them just ignore the request for payment until they have finished packing their shopping and are oblivious to the rest of queue.
